Rock The Pistes 2017 has returned to the Portes Du Soleil.

Crossing the border between France and Switzerland and with more than 28,000 festival goers attending, it’s a unique experience. But who is playing this year, and where can you see them?

There are numerous concerts in the bars of the various resorts throughout the week, but the real draw is the concerts on the slopes. All of them are easily accessible. Here are the biggest name performers to watch and when.

Sunday 19th March

Matmatah, Morgins at 13:30 at the top of the Foilleuse Chairlift.

After a nine year break, French rock band Matmatah returned in 2016. They began their nationwide tour at the end of February.

Monday 20th March

Chinese Man, Linga at 13:30 at the top of the Pierre Longue Chairlift.

Playing right in the heart of Linga, easily accesible via the Chaux Fleurie chairlift from Lindarets, French Trip Hop group Chinese Man will be playing songs from their second album as well as tracks from their 2011 debut Racing With The Sun.

Thursday 23rd March

Rag’N Bone Man at 1:30 PM. Top of the Stade chairlift.

Having won the Brits Critic’s Choice Awards, Rag’N Bone man, singer/songwriter Rory Graham, better known as Rag’N Bone Man, will be playing his unique blend of Hip Hop and Blues, including his huge single Human.

Friday 24th March

Caravan Palace at 13:30. Top of the Belvedere Chairlift between Morzine and Les Gets.

Following on from their world tour that included performing at Coachella and Glastonbury, Caravan Palace will be playing at the top of the Belvedere Chairlift between Morzine and Les Gets.

Rock the Pistes lineup 2017 announced

Saturday 25th March

Julian Perretta at 13:30 at the Telesiege Crosets 8 in Les Crosets.

English singer/songwriter Perretta, whose single “Miracle” reached number 1 in thirteen countries, will be paying in Les Crosets to finish off the slopeside concerts.
