Things to consider are the type of bike you want to rent such as road, mountain, hard trail and/or an electric bike; and whether you’ll need helmets and protective clothing with your rental. The town of Les Gets is located on the col between Morzine and Samoens, just over one hour's drive from the Geneva Airport on the E25 motorway. It sits on the very western edge of the Portes du Soleil ski area, views of Mont Blanc to the south are possible on sunny days from the top of the ski resort.
Les Gets is the capital of mechanical music with it's own museum and each year hosts a mechanical music festival. Mont Chery has panoramic views to Avoriaz as well as Mont Blanc and the Aiguille range. There is also a small lake by the school for swimming and sunbathing on long Alpine summer days.
With views across to the rocky summits of Roc de Enfer and beyond, the Les Gets golf course sits on grassy mountain plains. Each hole is named after a nearby peak, with Mont Blanc (hole seven) being the trickiest. The course is relatively short, but quite tight, and has a good variety of holes to make it really interesting to play. There are lessons and golf club rental available, and there is a restaurant at the clubhouse for refuelling. To access, take the Route des Chavannes from the centre of Les Gets, there is parking at the top or you can take the shuttle bus that runs every hour from town.
