Dez'Alp Restaurant Review

To start with, there is plenty of choice on where exactly you want to dine. The restaurant with three separate outdoor eating areas, one of which is covered as well as the charming chic wooden interior, which is nothing less than what you would expect in a smart mountain restaurant. As a family run establishment, the restaurant has that welcoming, relaxed vibe which only adds to the charm of the place.

Dez’Alp have an extensive menu including traditional local specialties such as fondue, peirrade and a number of Foie Gras dishes as well as pizzas and burgers. Trying to get the full local experience, I opted for the reasonably priced plat du jour which was pork in a Provencal sauce served with gratin and polenta. The service was very quick and friendly and I was offered complementary salted popcorn to graze on whilst I waited for my meal. The portion size seemed very generous for just €11.90, I certainly didn’t go hungry on the slopes following this lunch. The food was delicious and they had clearly used quality ingredients. The cuts of pork were tender and the onion and egg based gratin was freshly cooked and well heated through. It was easy to understand why Dez'Alp had such a great reputation.
After I had wiped the plate clean with some crusty French bread I was offered the dessert menu. As tempting as it was, I couldn't fit in another mouthful so I will just have to return another day to try one or two of those out

Overall I would say that this restaurant provides excellent friendly service, delicious good quality dishes at reasonable prices. A treat not to be missed whilst you are staying in Morzine.
