Wet and muddy for the World Cup qualifiers in Champery

Despite all the mud and the rain yesterday the qualifying rounds of the World Cup in Champery went ahead successfully and the finals will be played out today in slightly more favourable conditions as the rain has finally stopped.
Yesterday was a good day for the British riders, perhaps used to wet weather, with Ben Cathro qualifying first and Thomas Braithwaite coming in second.
