For some, the month or so that we still have to wait until first lifts is just too much to take. I feel for you, I really do. Which is why I have been scouring the internet for the best upcoming skiing, snowboarding and mountain related events to whet your appetite.

So whether you are looking forward to a holiday in the Alps or a full winter season, you’re bound to find something in the following list to get you in that mountain mood.

Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show

Where: Battersea Park, London
When: Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th November
What: Huge ski and snowboarding expo in the country’s capital. There’ll be wine tasting, alpine street food, comedy, live music and après parties galore; and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There will also be pro skiers and boarders hitting a massive kicker made of real snow.

Xscape 3 Valley Charity Day Reunion

Where: The Horns, Watford
When: Sunday 8th November, 8pm - Midnight
What: What started as a small street party in La Tania has morphed in recent years into a full blown festival taking over the whole of Meribel Village with music, comedy, giveaways, celebrity DJs and LOTS OF BEER! And what’s even better – it’s all for charity. Resort favourites, The Dominoes and mythical season legends Bring Your Sisters head up this winter warm up show close to London on Sunday 8th.

Warren Miller – Chasing Shadows Film Tour

Where: All over the UK. This movie tour has 34 different showings so chances are there is one near you.
When: 9th November – 21st January
What: Warren Miller Films make ski and snowboard movies. They are seriously good at what they do. They have released a new one each year for 66 years so it figures. This years movie is called Chasing Shadows and it looks incredible. Don’t even think about this one; find a showing near you and book a ticket now. Sitting in a cinema watching people slay lines you could only dream of on a huge screen in high definition with beautiful surround sound is quite a different experience than sitting in an après bar pretending you are listening to your drunk friends talk nonsense when you are really just watching the ski movie on the screen over their shoulder.

Scottish Dryslope Slopestyle Champs 2015

Where: Bearsden Ski & Board Club, Glasgow
When: Sat 7th & Sun 8th November
What: Freestyle Competition on a dryslope in Scotland. Attend as a competitor if you think you've got what it takes or just go and see what kind of tricks people are pulling on the dry slopes these days!

MSP Films ‘Fade to Winter’ Premiere

Where: Ham Yard Theatre, London
When: 13th November 2015
What: MSP Films newest offering ‘Fade to Winter’ is showing in ultra high definition in London. If last year’s ‘Days Of My Youth’ premiere at the iconic Union Chapel if anything to go by, you can expect a very special atmospheric evening surrounded by likeminded people with giveaways and a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
