Morzine Lifts Set to Open A Week Early This Season

13th December Anticipated opening date for selected Morzine lifts

There's been tonnes of snow up in Avoriaz and on the top of the Super Morzine but not so much down at resort level.. so far anyway. That aside the Tourist Office have announced that the Morzine ski area will be opening on 13th December this year (snow permitting).

Some of the Chatel pistes will be opening on the 3rd December, the Avoriaz ski area will be opening the 12th December (Friday) as scheduled with the full Portes du Soleil ski area set to open from 21st December.

Lifts to be opened in the Morzine ski area will be: Pléney Télécabine, TS Belvedere link with les Gets, TS Nabor, TS Mouilles.

Les Gets have said there will be lifts open on the Plateau des Chavannes on 13th December, but for any further lifts, we'll all have to wait to see what the snow conditions are like closer to the time!
