There are big plans for the coming year for Avoriaz, and it’s good news for families.

The Mayor of Morzine and Avoriaz has revealed where major investments will be made in the coming year and it’s good news for families visiting Avoriaz. There are also major plans for Morzine which include the recently finished Skate Park in the centre of town.

Many families visiting Avoriaz have found it difficult to find childcare for the days when they want to spend time on the slopes. They’ll be happy to hear that a new childcare centre is being built in the town. It’ll be right in the middle of the resort offering different types of care for a wide range of ages. It’s due to start operating in 2017.

Along with this, it’s been announced that the square in the centre is to be refurbished and the children’s park equipment reinstalled. It’s clear that Avoriaz is trying to become more child and family friendly.

Along with the investment in Avoriaz, lots of other projects are due to get under way in the coming year. There are plans for a heritage centre and the redevelopment of the tourism office. There’ll be a protective wall built at Prodains and shelters for shuttle buses installed across the resorts.

It looks like a busy year ahead for Avoriaz but most definitely a good one!
