1 Man Dead & 1 Injured in a Snowmobile Accident in Avoriaz
60 Year old man dead after a snowmobile accident yesterday
A man and his son were involved in a snowmobile accident yesterday, which resulted in the man's death and serious injury to his son.
They were apparently on a snowmobile ride when the lost control in a turn and veered into a tree. When rescue services arrived the driver showed no signs of life, having suffered a fatal heart attack. Rescuers attempted to resuscitate him on the scene, but were sadly unsuccessful.
His son, who was seriously injured in the accident, was rushed to Thonon hospital for treatment. The nationalities of the men is not known at this time.
A police investigation is under way to determine the cause of the accident.
