What's On Over the Summer in Morzine
A quick guide to events in Morzine this summer season
There are so many things to look out for this summer in Morzine, we thought we'd pick out a few key events that you might want to watch out for..
In June there are a handful of road bike races like the Haute Chablais and 1 day 1 col. The Fete de la musique is a good excuse to drink while listening to music in and around the bars and restaurants of Morzine. The Pass'portes du Soleil event will be held in Les Gets this year, and is a must for mountain bikers and something pedestrians can enjoy too.
There are lots of free music gigs again this summer with music from local bands and artists as well as the most well known, Simple Minds, playing in the tourist office square on 14th July.
Le Grand Joux over in Essert Romand are hosting a number of summer retreats, where you can book yourself into their 100 year old eco-friendly chalet and enjoy some pampering, activities, well being and photography sessions, or why not try the Jason Vale Juice detox?
In July you can watch lumberjacks battle it out with a series of challenges, or watch the chess players of the International tournament go head to head. There's also a mountain marathon, a Parkour camp where you can pick up some training and skills and the freestyle sports show up in Avoriaz (one of our favourites).
In August classical music lovers will appreciate the Lind'art festival taking place in Montriond whilst food lovers also get a chance to try some cooking courses and sample local produce...
